LPG cylinder prices remain elevated across major Indian cities on March 19, 2026, following a recent price hike driven by supply disruptions due to the ongoing West Asia conflict. LPG cylinder prices in India continue to reflect the recent hike implemented earlier in March 2026. The cost of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder increased by ₹60, while the 19 kg commercial cylinder saw a sharper rise of ₹144. As of today, the city-wise LPG prices are: New Delhi – ₹913 (domestic), ₹1,884.50 (commercial) Mumbai – ₹912.50 (domestic), ₹1,836 (commercial) Bengaluru – ₹915.50 (domestic), ₹1,958 (commercial) Other metro cities like Kolkata and Chennai continue to have slightly higher rates due to VAT differences and logistics costs. Despite the earlier hike, there has been no further revision in LPG prices recently, indicating temporary price stability amid volatile global energy markets.
The rise in LPG prices is largely attributed to global supply disruptions caused by the ongoing West Asia conflict, which has affected fuel transportation routes like the Strait of Hormuz. India heavily depends on imports for LPG, sourcing nearly 90% from West Asian countries, making it highly vulnerable to geopolitical tensions.
